Obituary of Lenna Rebecca Ashley

ASHLEY, Lenna Rebecca – age 88, of Dutch Settlement, passed away January 19, 2016 at home. Born in Dutch Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Viola Ashley. Lenna was fiercely independent. She enjoyed bowling and dancing in her earlier years. She loved the outdoors, and used her four wheeler right up until last fall. Any outdoor activity was her passion – snowmobiling, camping, and skating. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Warren and Reg; sister, Pansy; and brother-in-law Percy. She is survived by her siblings, Don (Marjorie), Grant, Earlene (Garfield), Sandra (Ira); sisters-in-law, Flora and Doris; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, April 16 at St. George’s Anglican Church, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Following the interment a reception will follow at the Riverline Acticity Centre, 80 Dutch Settlement Road.
