Obituary of Harry Lewis Ashley

ASHLEY, Harry Lewis-Age 85, Enfield, formerly of Dutch Settlement, passed away peacefully at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre on November 10, 2015. Born in Dutch Settlement, he was the only child of the late James and Helen (Isenor) Ashley. Harry served three years in the Air Force before beginning work at Shaw’s, where he spent the remainder of his career. Harry loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and was well known for his sense of humour. Harry is survived by his children, Cindy (Danny) Isenor, Shelley (Darrin) Gloade and Martin (Stephanie Mackenzie); grandchildren, Ashley and Erin Isenor, Ryan and Kaleigh Gloade. Besides his parents, Harry was predeceased by his wife, Marina. No visitation by Harry’s request. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday November 12 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Interment in St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Dutch Settlement. Donations in memory of Harry may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or NS Heart and Stroke Foundation.
