Obituary of Harvey Andrew Hinch

HINCH, Harvey Andrew, age 47, of Lantz. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our son and brother on Thursday October 1, 2015 in the QEII, VG Site, Halifax surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Donald Hinch, and Joy (Perkins) Hinch of Lantz. Harvey was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He was kind hearted, loving, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Harvey was most relaxed enjoying a coffee in his backyard enjoying nature with his shadow, Angel (his four legged pal). Harvey is survived by his mother, Joy; siblings, Kevin (Connie), Lantz, Melinda (Rodney), Lantz, Tammy, Carrol’s Corner, Christina (Darren B.) McMullin Rd., Eric (Ruth), Grand Prairie, AB; several nieces and nephews including his little “genius” Christian; and his great-aunt, Bea Ledwidge, Enfield. Also mourning his loss, are four of his closest friends, Barry, Brandon, Nathan and Dwight. Besides his father, he was predeceased by many aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation at Harvey’s request. A Funeral Mass will be held 11am Tues. October 6 in St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield. Father Michael Walsh officiating. Interment to follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
