STONE, Donalda Leslie, 71 - Stewiacke, passed away July 23, 2013 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Clare (Creelman) Stewart. She was a caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an extremely kind and selfless person who would always do without to give to someone else. She got great joy out of giving to others and looked for the good in everyone. Donalda did the books for the family business (Stone's Refrigeration) and she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Ray Cruz. She served faithfully and was involved in various positions at the Stewiacke Baptist Church for many years. She had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours outdoors with her flowers. She will be sadly missed by her husband William "Bill" Stone; daughters Rebecca "Becky" Stone-McCoul (Michael), Shortt's Lake; Amanda Stone, Milford; grandchildren Ainsley and Nate McCoul; Hannah Stone and Luke Ledwidge; sister Beverly Gallant (Leonard), Elmsdale; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday at the Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, Tammy Giffen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Memorial donations may be made to Stewiacke Baptist Church or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the palliative care staff and the nurses and doctors in the Truro Hospital who helped make her stay as comfortable as possible.
